Our Mission Statement

Bun Bun Brigade is a no-kill rabbit rescue staffed and run entirely by volunteers. Our goals include the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of abandoned and mistreated rabbits, as well as public education regarding proper rabbit care and the importance of spay/neuter in battling the escalating overpopulation problem.

Bun Bun Brigade is a 501(c)(3) non-profit rabbit rescue located in Elizabethtown, KY. We are operated by a dedicated board of directors—Chelsea, Kyle, Robin, Gina, and Kayla—alongside a team of compassionate community volunteers.

We specialize in the care and rehabilitation of domestic rabbits of all breeds. Every rabbit in our rescue is spayed or neutered and litterbox trained before they hop off to their forever homes. We also offer education on proper rabbit care, including nutrition, housing options (enclosures vs. free-roaming), daily exercise needs, and bunny-proofing tips for the required indoor home our adoption process requires.

Looking to adopt? We’re here to help you find the perfect bunny personality to match your family. We’ll guide you toward rabbits that are a good fit for homes with children or other pets.

Bun Bun Brigade is a privately funded rescue. All of our operations are made possible through adoption fees and the generous support of private donors. If you would like to donate, please  contact us or use the donation link on the right. You can also find more information about volunteer opportunities and our wish list here.
